Bed bugs are an infestation that are independent of cleanliness. Bed bugs are nocturnal extremely insidious creatures that hunt for blood. They are clever enough to hide in electrical outlets in your walls or even if you stop sleeping in your bed and move to your couch to get away from them, they will hunt you down by honing in on the carbon dioxide and heat you are emitting. I mean to scare you into taking them seriously and taking immediate action by following thorough preventative steps. The best way to determine if you have bed bugs is to contact a reputable pest control company that has a specially trained dog that can detect bed bugs. At a minimum, bed bug mattress and pillow covers are good investments as preventative measures to ensure bed bugs can never enter into your mattress and boxspring. I recognize that this sounds more like science fiction, but it is not.
